I am passionate about helping my clients. For me, the key is being able to impart expert knowledge to help my clients achieve a better financial position after receiving advice than they were in before.
I am Managing Director of Tilikum Wealth Management Ltd. I am an experienced financial planner and have been in the industry since 2002 after having completed an undergraduate degree in Physiology at the University of Edinburgh and a postgraduate degree at the University of Oxford.
I entered the financial services industry as a UK-based financial adviser and then spent some time in Luxembourg and Den Haag (Netherlands) as an international adviser. Returning to the UK, I worked as a technical consultant to the Barclays national adviser force before moving into a Private Banker role with Barclays Wealth for a number of years. From there, I progressed to Head of Client Relations at Barnett Waddingham (a pension scheme administrator) before changing tack and moving into a discretionary investment management role (advising and dealing on equities, bonds and funds) initially with Thesis Asset Management and then Quilter Cheviot.
I joined St. James’s Place in April 2017 because I wanted to join what I believe to be the best financial planning company in the UK. I now have access to more products and services than I had as a Private Banker, a more comprehensive technical support team, more robust compliance and an advice guarantee.
I live on the South Coast and work in London 2-3 days every week. I am passionate about sailing and, with my commercially-endorsed RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certificate, I am also a professional yacht race skipper in The Solent.
